The Royal Playa Del Carmen all inclusive resort was once called The Royal Porto Real, since then the resort has been substantially upgraded with much more “royal” finishes and amenities. The hotel itself is quite impressive and beautiful, truly deserving of it’s regal name. Guests are promised to discover an “explosion” of luxury around every corner. While we can attest that nothing actually explodes, there certainly is a lot of luxury to be found at The Royal Playa Del Carmen.
Guests are treated like royalty with all the standard options of a luxury all inclusive resort like any in Hawaii, and then some. There are 6 different restaurants to choose from, a 24 hour snack bar stocked with everything you could want for your late night cravings, nightly entertainment, even a movie theater!
The rooms are spacious and luxurious, they include a jacuzzi bath for two, an in room Bose audio system with an iPod loaded with tunes to set the mood, a hammock on the terrace, and beautiful views of the ocean and surrounding areas. The pool is gigantic, and the Presidential suite comes with its own in room swimming pool! The staff is what makes this place special though, they go to great lengths to make you feel truly like a king (or queen). Personally taking care of your every need and treating each and every guest with the utmost kindness. It is the staff and their friendliness that keeps people coming back over and over again.
Just 2 minutes away from the trendy 5th avenue that everybody must visit while in Playa, The Royal Playa Del Carmen is truly an incredible all inclusive resort.

Don’t worry if your forgot your fishing pole and reel, it’s all included on the fishing excursion. We had a great time going on an all day fishing trip, and though we came back a little burned, we caught a decent amount of fish! (Don’t forget to bring plenty of sunscreen)
